The future of BFSI in India will belong to those who can combine trust with technology. 🤝

Over the past few months, we've had the opportunity to attend leading BFSI events & roundtables, and learn directly from some of the most thoughtful voices shaping India's banking and fintech ecosystem. Across conversations, one theme kept standing out - Bharat's financial landscape is accelerating through a set of shifts that are deeper, more structural, and far more interconnected than what we've seen in the last decade.

🟢 In a talk by Subramaniakumar R (CEO, RBL Bank), the sharpest insight was that banking's purpose is constant, but its delivery is transforming. He highlighted that banking personalization is moving from people-first to data-led, and the next wave of users will look entirely different from the first 300M.

🟢 Rishi A Chhabra (MD, Visa India) underscored India as the true "Country of ANDs," where infinite choices create complexity and diverse fraud vectors that demand deeper trust, stronger rails, and shared ecosystem accountability.

🟢 Aarthy Rangarajan (Partner, EY) emphasised that the key is leveraging AI for efficiency while maintaining human interaction for trust and deeper problem-solving.

🟢 Ila Wadhwa (Google India), summarised it well: consumer intent in 2025 flows across a multi-screen swirl of 4S (Streaming ➡️ Scrolling ➡️ Searching ➡️ Shopping) and data is now the biggest moat.

🟢 Rajiv Kumar Gupta (President, PB FINTECH LIMITED) reinforced something that feels more relevant now than ever: in financial decision-making, trust compounds… and so do trust deficits. A single broken experience has an outsized downstream impact.

Taken together, these shifts are creating a rare moment of inflection:

▶️ Tier-3/4 demand is exploding and creating a new addressable market,

▶️ CTV & short-form content are becoming a bridge between brand and intent,

▶️ Alternate underwriting and Explainable AI are going mainstream,

▶️ Privacy-first data frameworks are redefining collaboration across BFSI.

We put together a short note that captures these emerging forces and explains why they matter today more than ever.
